Reiki

Reiki Practitioners agree to follow the Reiki Principles in daily practice being:

Just for today, I will not anger.

Just for today, I will not worry.

Just for today I will be grateful for all that I have.

I will do my work honestly.

I will be kind to others.

Originating in Japan and originally developed as a means of self development by Dr Usui in the early Twentieth Century. This healing practice is still firstly a technique for self development but is also offered as a therapy for clients addressing the whole self on all levels; physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

The person receiving Reiki lies fully clothed, draped in a cosy blanket, on the therapy couch whilst the practitioner directs the Reiki energies through their hands to the client. Each person’s experience is unique to them but many feel deeply relaxed with a tingling sensation during the process and may experience thoughts and images relevant to their needs during the session.

Mostly taught in the west using modified Western techniques Alex has studied Advanced Japanese teachings which draw on the original intuitive practices developed originally by Dr Usui. There is time before the session to discuss the process and the individual needs of the client and a feedback session with guidance is given at the end.

It is recommended for those clients new to Reiki to undertake three weekly sessions with many returning regularly for ongoing development. Students of Reiki generally become interested in training as a result of receiving this therapy which can sometimes result in life changing clarity and improved health and wellbeing.

Alex is always happy to offer no obligation consultations free of charge either over the phone or in person before you decide to embark on your Reiki journey.
